ESK Story

Why ESK?

Water, but with a little more behind it.

ESK was founded by Quratul Ain (Anna), a Manchester-based entrepreneur who wanted to create a water brand that felt different from what was already out there.

After years working in the corporate world, building projects and working with well-known international brands, Quratul Ain wanted to create something of her own  something that reflected the things she genuinely cares about: quality, design, people and giving back.

A few years ago, life gave her a reminder of just how important time really is. After being diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and undergoing successful surgery, she found herself looking at everyday life a little differently.

It made her realise how easily we can spend our time working, looking after everyone else and simply getting through the day, while forgetting to make time for ourselves.

That experience became part of the thinking behind ESK. Not as a brand about slowing down or telling people how to live, but as a simple reminder that your time matters too.

Why the name ESK?

The name ESK has a natural connection to water. Esk is a name found in rivers and waterways, with roots associated with water and flowing rivers.

For Quratul Ain, that connection felt right for a water brand , simple, distinctive and closely connected to the product itself.

But ESK also came to represent something bigger.

Make Time for You became the thought behind the brand  a simple reminder to make space for yourself, even in the middle of everyday life.

Quratul Ain's vision was to create a British water brand that people would be proud to have on their table, in their workspace, at a restaurant or as part of their everyday life.

Water sourced from Wales.
A brand created in Manchester.
A sleek aluminium can.
And a commitment to give something back.

10% of ESK profits will go towards charitable causes, including Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and supporting local homelessness initiatives.

For Quratul Ain, building ESK is about creating something she genuinely believes in  something that looks good, feels authentic and can make a positive difference along the way.

Welsh Water. Manchester Made.
Untouched by Time.
Make Time for You.

Come on, let's ESK IT!
